About the Opportunity
Join our distributed development team for a flexible, remote internship where you’ll design and build beautiful, functional websites for real clients. This role bridges design and development—you’ll create the visual experience and bring it to life with code. Perfect for designers who love to build, or developers with a strong design sense.
What You’ll Work On
- Design and build client websites using WordPress blocks and page builders
- Create visually compelling, user-friendly web experiences from concept to launch
- Enhance front-end functionality with custom JavaScript and CSS
- Implement responsive designs that work flawlessly across devices
- Collaborate with developers on integrated web and mobile app experiences
- Use Adobe Creative Suite to create design assets and mockups
Tech Stack & Tools
- Design: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.) – we provide access
- Build: WordPress blocks and page builders
- Code: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (vanilla – no frameworks)
- Development Tools: PHPStorm, GitHub, Claude AI
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Software Development through BYU Pathway Worldwide
- Strong understanding of design and UX principles
- Experience using page builders to create websites
- Ability to write custom CSS and JavaScript to enhance user experience
- Self-directed and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
- Eye for detail and commitment to quality
Bonus:
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience designing for mobile apps
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Basic PHP knowledge
Internship Details
- Duration: One semester (14 weeks) with flexible extension options
- Hours: 20-40 hours per week (flexible based on your availability)
- Location: Fully remote
- Start Date: Immediately available
- Compensation: To Be Determined Based on Country of Residence.
